Sat - Local soaring. Perhaps short X/C for the brave/pudits, i.e. those not afraid to land out!
Sun - Windy NW'ly/15-25kts.
Mon - Fronts pass through.
Tue - Fine.
Posted: 01 February 2010 By: Ian 0 = Unflyable 1 = Flyable (no soaring likely) 2 = Local Soaring 3 = XC (up to 150kms) 4 = Good XC (150-300kms, perhaps 3-5 hours soaring) 5 = Excellent XC (300kms+ with 5 hours+ soaring likely)
Rating for average thermal strengths:
Weak (W) = 0-3kts...Moderate (M) = 3-6kts...Strong (S) = 6kts or greater...
Not Applicable (N/A) = No Soaring Likely
NOTE 1: These are 'airmass' figures so you need to deduct the glider sink-rate to find 'climb' values
NOTE 2: Due to work commitments, etc, forecasts will not always be updated daily. I will try to update at least twice a week.
